Word Up customers and well-wishers! We are still in the process of finalizing our next steps. In association with Northern Manhattan Arts Alliance, we are working out a longer-term agreement with our landlord. We will tell you the moment something is in place. In the meantime, here are two important things to note:
1) Word Up has still been open at regular hours each day this past week, and will continue to be this week.
2) we are having a big party at the shop on Saturday, December 17, 6-9pm, with food, drinks, and music ($10 all included), when we will celebrate SIX MONTHS OF WORD UP, and where we will share with you some of the plans for keeping Word Up in the neighborhood.

I’m planning on doing an English Literature with Creative Writing undergraduate degree course, beginning in 2010. Initially, I just wanted to study English, but recently I’ve decided I would be better suited to English Literature with Creative Writing. Are there any universities that are especially good for English and creative writing? A lot of the universities I had previously been looking at don’t offer the course, and The Times University Guide only offers an English league table. All answers appreciated! (-:.
