Join your neighbors of all ages to celebrate reading and writing!

General programming includes a full day of panels, talks, and readings; workshops for writers; and a community-wide book discussion of Luis Alberto Urrea’s Into the Beautiful North, as part of the NEA’s The Big Read. Family programming includes readings by children’s authors; literacy activities by Reach Out and Read and Literacy INC; New York Public Library card sign-ups; book discussions led by neighborhood teens; crafts workshops by Skraptacular and Evelyn’s Art and Creations. Evening programming includes a Story Slam at Word Up Community Bookshop.
