7/12, 8/9, 9/13: Free the Arts Jam
Free The Arts Jam
Come connect with community to share in an artistic and mutual healing peer support space, towards liberation and freedom. Freedom to bring in and share whatever material, in whatever medium, freedom to make mistakes, freedom to be your unique whole self and collaborate with like minds. We move our bodies, we sing, chant, make music, we share and write poetry, we tell our stories in a multitude of way towards understanding, skill sharing, playing, co-creating and supporting each other. If you deal with mental health issues, or what society has labelled “mental illness”, or what has also been reclaimed as “madness”, or invisible disabilities, or “Neurodivergence” – having a brain that functions in ways that diverge significantly from the dominant societal standards of “normal”, than this is a healing justice space is for you! This event is open to all ages, bodies, and minds, though we are centering the needs of Black and Brown, Trans and Queer, Neurodivergent / Mad folks. You can learn more about Free The Arts Fest at freetheartsfestival.com or by emailing email@example.com.
