April is Autism Awareness Month!
Please join us for a special edition of story time featuring Kenneth Zhumi, an 11-year-old boy who has Autism. He loves to draw as a way to express himself to the world. He loves little horses. They go with him everywhere. He hopes you enjoy his books as much as he loves writing and drawing them.
One of Kenneth’s teachers, Jury Rosario, an applied behavior analysis specialist, will be joining Kenneth and his family as Kenneth makes his reading debut at Word Up. Kenneth’s six full-color booklets will be available for sale.
A tasty breakfast will be served 11–11:30am. Reading and conversation starting at 11:30am.
