“We’re holding a Pastry Party where guests can try a variety of D’Lolly’s original recipes along with coffee and other appropriate beverages. A $10 suggested donation allows you to sample as much as you like, while supplies last!

D’Lolly’s Uptown Bakeshop is a new pastry business in Washington Heights and Inwood, in the throes of a crowd-funding campaign on indiegogo.com:

This event is a final push to reach our goal before the April 4th deadline. Please make a $10 suggested donation on indiegogo to have your name added to the guestlist. Hope to see you there!”

March 26 – Bonding with Babies over Books

STORY_TIME_bond_w_babies_MARCH_2016-01

-After our regular weekly Storytime at 11am-
Bonding with Babies Over Books is a workshop that will help caregivers discover the importance of spending quality time as they read and explore books with their babies.

Caregivers will have the opportunity to accomplish the following:
Gain an understanding of how their baby’s brain develops during the first three years of their life.
Know how to select age appropriate books that will strengthen brain development in children.
Implement literacy activities that will foster a bond between caregiver and child, while simultaneously foster a love of books at an early age.
