MIGRATIONS is a flute & cello duo founded by Maria Johnson and Paul Wolfram in 2012.
Their repertoire includes works by Béla Bartók, Leonard Bernstein, Astor Piazzolla, Kaija Saariaho, and Heitor Villa-Lobos, as well their own arrangements of Argentinian and Brazilian tangos.
Migrations is actively seeking commissions from young composers. Their 2015 concerts will feature premieres by Doug Detrick, Noam Faingold and Eric Lemmon.
This free concert at Word Up will feature the premiere of “There’s Poetry Between Us” by Noam Faingold, as well as other works for flute and cello. The performance will be about 45 minutes long, all ages welcome.
