Book Reading: Cuba in Splinters

Tonight at Word Up, join Orlando Luis Pardo Lazo (@OLPL), a noted writer and dissident from Cuba, as he presents a new collection from O/R Books, Cuba in Splinters: Eleven Stories From the New Cuba. OLPL brings together a crop of young writers from his home island: the writers, rebellious in form and content, are inspired by authors such as Bukowski—but the stories, translated into English for the first time, are about life in Cuba. OLPL will be reading, with books for sale and a signing afterward.
