Join us for another month of literary readings on Thursdays! ( . . . And, to be honest, on other nights too. We are a bookstore after all.)
Tonight’s reading at 7pm is by Chris Campanioni, author of Going Down, who asks: How can communication survive in a culture inundated with images, with sound, with interruptions and the inability to communicate—with too many ways to communicate—how can we reconcile the self-fragmentation that occurs? Campanioni explores this and other questions of media representation and cultural dislocation in a coming-of-age story set in the intersection of the newsroom, the runway, Manhattan, and Latin America.
